TRACE YOUR ANCESTORS
Private Heritage Tour
Walk in the Footsteps of Your Family History
There is something truly special about standing where your ancestors once lived, worked, worshipped and built their lives. For many visitors, researching a family tree begins as an interesting hobby. Visiting the places connected to that research transforms names and dates into real people, real communities and real stories.
Our ancestry tours are designed for those who have already carried out family history research and would now like to explore the locations connected to their family's past.
Whether your ancestors lived in London, Kent, Surrey or Sussex, we will work with the information you have uncovered to create a personalised itinerary focused on the places that matter most to you.
Perhaps you would like to visit the village where your great-grandparents lived, see the church where generations of your family were baptised, married or buried, walk the streets they would have known or simply gain a deeper understanding of the communities that shaped their lives.
No two ancestry journeys are ever the same.
Some tours focus on a single village or neighbourhood, while others trace family movements across several counties. Whatever the scope of your research, we will create a day tailored specifically to your family's story.
Along the way, your qualified Blue Badge Guide will help place your ancestors' lives in their historical context, bringing local history, social change and regional traditions to life. The result is often far more meaningful than simply visiting a location on a map.
Travelling in a chauffeur-driven vehicle allows maximum flexibility throughout the day, making it easy to visit multiple locations while enjoying the comfort and convenience of a private tour.
Many guests describe their ancestry tour as the most personal and memorable experience of their visit to England.
